Please join The Maryland Military Band on Sunday, April 29 at 3 pm for our 2018 Spring Concert, “Music of the Great War, and More: Musical Memories from the past 100 years.”

As we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One, the band will feature a number of popular selections from the WWI era, including music by composers such as Irving Berlin, George M. Cohan, John Philip Sousa, Kenneth Alford, Percy Grainger, and James Reese Europe.  We will also pay tribute to some iconic moments in American musical theater history which are celebrating anniversaries this year, and we welcome special guest Reginald Bouknight who will narrate the world-premiere performance of We Shall Overcome, arranged by Jari Villanueva to mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The concert is free and open to the public.  A freewill offering will be taken.
